Kevin Rahm Edits News In "Nightcrawler"

Variety reports that Mad Men's Kevin Rahm has joined the crime thriller “Nightcrawler” where he will play a news channel editor.


The film follows a young man (Jake Gyllenhaal) drawn into the world of Los Angeles freelance crime reporting.

Actor/rapper Riz Ahmed will play Gyllenhaal's "driver and protégé. Rene Russo and Bill Paxton will co-star.

Screenwriter Dan Gilroy (Real Steel) will make his film directorial debut on the noir film based on his own script.

The writer-director's brother, Tony Gilroy (The Bourne Legacy), is producing with Gyllenhaal, Jennifer Fox, Michel Litvak, and David Lancaster.

Gary Michael Walters is exec producing.

Production starts this month.
