We know that "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo are set to return to the big chair for Captain America 3 which aims to shoot early next year. Before that, they'll call action on a few episodes of ABC's "Agent Carter" starring Hayley Atwell.
Chatting with Yahoo Movies,
the duo confirm that "Captain America 3" will take place a few years
after 'Winter Soldier', and Steve Rogers' (Chris Evans) relationship with Bucky Barnes
(Sebastian Stan) will play a key part in the next one.
Anthony Russo says: "The character was invented for an explicitly
political purpose. So it’s hard to get away from that nature, [but
we're] bringing some new elements to the table that will give us a twist
on Winter Soldier."
I am glad Barnes will officially return! Stan's turn as the Winter Soldier was a real highlight
of Cap 2 in a film already full of great stuff!!
The script for Cap 3 is being worked on by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, therefore we
won't know much about the film's premise until Joss Whedon's superhero team up sequel "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" hits on May 1st of next year.
Cap 3 is set to go head to head with Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" on May 6th 2016 --or not...
