Alpha Dog

As actor Brandon Routh waits to don the blue and red tights for the sequel Superman: Man of Steel Variety writes that he’ll take on another film set in the comic book genre.

Routh is set to star in Dead of Night, an adaptation of the Italian graphic novel series Dylan Dog.

The character is a London PI who specializes in the strange and inixplicable. His cases often involve werewolves, vampires, ghosts and other residents of the supernatural and occult...He's also a bit of a flake, regularly interupting investigations for a date, a movie, a vacation and is always wearing his signature red shirt, black jacket, and blue jeans

Kevin Munroe will call the shots.

The premise sounds just offbeat enough for Routh to be able to take on the role--without forsaking Supes
