Toned Down Terminator?

As production kicks off today on "Terminator 4" the filmmakers have announced that they are aiming for the film to get a PG-13 rating says Variety.-a first for the series...

The Halcyon Company co-founder Victor Kubicek explains the reason for the change:

"The ratings have changed...the PG-13 has increased in intensity."

That said Kubicek assured fans that the flick will remain true to what's come before...

We won't force it. We are carrying on in the tradition of the mythology, with an exciting approach to the action. If we can make a compelling film to reach the widest audience, why wouldn't we do it?"

Some folks fretted over the same issue with Live Free or Die Hard...And things turned out OK-with an unrated cut of the film landing on the DVD release as a compromise. I expect the same thing will happen with the big T...
