Just off of the debut of The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian--star Ben Barnes has been cast as the lead in a big screen adaptation of Oscar Wilde's only published novel--The Picture of Dorian Gray--according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It tells the story of a young man who wishes that his youth will not fade due to either age or indulgence. His wish comes true as a portrait of him begins to deteriorate even as he stays young.
Director Oliver Parker wants to make the a dark horror film from the story.
I have chosen to steer clear of the whole Narnia thing --but from the looks of things anyway Barnes seems picture perfect...
Shooting on Gray begins July 28th.
Meantime, eEaling Studios, the company behind that film also announced plans for a 'St. Trinians' sequel...
