Steve Buscemi, Ray Liotta, Jean Smart and M. Emmet Walsh will join the very busy Michael Cera in the comedy "Youth in Revolt" says VarietyAn adaptation of the popular books by C. D. Payne, the story centers on Nick Twisp (Cera) a smart, sexually obsessed teen living in a world of dimwitted adults.
Liotta plays a cop who is having an affair with Twisp's mom (Smart). When that relationship goes sour, the cop gets his twisted revenge on the mom by going after Nick, who stands accused of arson. Buscemi plays Twisp's father.
The books are truly quite funny and the casting of the film is quite inspired....Great things are bound to happen...
Miguel Arteta calls the shots when shooting begins in July.
