First it was offered to Ryan Gosling, he passed...and then they asked Emile Hirsch--he said no Sam Worthington was even in the mix...Now, Latino Review reports that Anton Yelchin may be in the running to play the title role in the "Green Lantern" comic book flick

Yelchin, may only be known in geek circles right now with roles in 2 fanboy' 09 flicks on the way-- Star Trek and Terminator Salvation...Once they debut..name recognition becomes less of an issue though...

Yelchin told the crowd at WonderCon 2009:

"I have no idea. I think I'm probably too young. I mean, no one's approached me, no one's said anything to me. So I imagine I'm just too young. I mean, it's a great character but i don't know anything about it. ... I haven't heard anything about it"

Gosling has my vote....Hopefully he'll reconsider if the suits want a big name.
