Brad Pitt and Natalie Portman are circling to star in a film based on Leanne Shapton's book "Important Artifacts and Personal Property..." says Variety.
The book chronicles a Sotheby's-like estate auction catalog, with 325 entries and photographs depicting items that reveal the private moments and the rise and fall of a four-year relationship between the fictitious couple Hal Morris (a 40ish photographer) and Lenore Doolan, (a New York Times food columnist in her late 20s).
Pitt's Plan B Films and Portman's Handsomecharlie Films are producing the project which will retool the project as a romantic comedy with Pitt to play Morris, and Portman to play Doolan.
Pitt/Portman? Hmmm? Being romantic and funny? Together? Personally--I'm skeptical...
Meanwhile...Pitt proves that he loves to read...
Paramount and Pitt's Plan B have also acquired film rights to John le Carré's 1993 espionage thriller "Night Manager" reports Variety.
