Sit A Spell

The Wackness helmer Jonathan Levine is set to direct the irreverent comedy "The Sitter" for according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The story follows a college student, suspended for the semester and living back at home with his single mom. He soon has a night to remember when he gets talked into baby-sitting the eccentric kids next door -- two boys and a wild 8-year-old girl.

Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka wrote the screenplay.

Michael De Luca is producing.

The film obviously takes its cues from the 80's pic Adventures in Babysitting though it's not considered a remake--Still Wackness garnered attention at Sundance... Needs a strong male lead.
