Shawnee Smith will return to the Saw franchise as Amanda, Jigsaw’s (Tobin Bell) female apprentice according to Twisted Pictures producer Mark Burg via the official site.He adds that there are several new characters, the film will be much more violent than the previous five, and there's traps that pit victims against each other like the opening of Saw V
Long time series editor Kevin Greutert directs the latest sequel Saw VI from a script by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton which begins shooting on March 30th for a release on October 23rd.
Smith has appeared in every movie since Saw II, even though she died in Saw III and by far the most popular character behind Jigsaw.
