Angela Bassett has signed on to join the cast of Martin Campbell's comic adaptation "Green Lantern" says Variety. Bassett will play Dr. Amanda Waller, a scientist and covert government bureaucrat who has long been a part of the DC universe and its Suicide Squad
Cch Pounder voiced the character in the animated "Justice League" series, while Pam Grier portrayed the role in a recent episode of "Smallille" called Absolute Justice.
Greg Berlanti Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green wrote the GL script
Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Tim Robbins and Mark Strong also star
The film is currently shooting in New Orleans.
