Twilight's Kellan Lutz will play the Greek sea god Poseidon in "War Of The Gods" reports VarietyTelling the story of Theseus (Henry Cavill) who must lead his men in a battle to help the Olympian gods stop the Titans, the elder gods they overthrew in a decade-long battle many centuries beforehand, in order to save mankind.
Mickey Rourke and Freida Pinto also star.
Tarsem Singh (The Cell, The Fall) directs from Jason Keller most recent draft of the script.

You may recall that Lutz was in the running to play Conan for Marcus Nispel's reboot--not a bad consolation prize I suppose But Conan is higher profile and does not face being overlooked by filmgoers thanks to April 2nd's mythology themed Clash of the Titans
Shooting kicks off on War in Montreal next month.
