Jason Segel has signed to star as the human lead in The Greatest Muppet Movie of All Time according to the Heat Vision Blog.
Segel, who co-wrote the script with his Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nicholas Stoller plays a man on a quest with his girlfriend and a puppet friend to find and reunite the Muppets.
Flight of the Conchords co-creator James Bobin is set to direct the pic.
Segel, David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman (The Proposal) will produce.
