Director Bryan Singer seemed all set to helm X-Men: First Class for producer Lauren Shuler Donner
Now his return to the X-film series may be in doubt...
Hitfix is reporting that Fox wants another director to handle the film with two major names who already have experience with comic book adaptations passing on offers in recent weeks.
Singer is currently deep into pre-production on the adventure fantasy Jack The Giant Killer. " and Fox has a very specific timetable planned for when production is to begin on Class and that will potentially conflict with production on 'Jack'.
As a result, Singer may not be able to return to the franchise until "X-4" at the earliest
