A Hunting We Will Go

The long gestating film version of Midway's classic video game Spy Hunter may finally be gaing steam says Reuters.

"Hunter" is an action/driving game featuring the G-6155 Interceptor, a fictitious car that is beset by a wide array of enemy vehicles. The lead character is an ex-fighter pilot turned freelance assassin who specialises in targeting intelligence agents who have gone rogue.

2 attempts have been made to bring “Spy Hunter” to the big screen in the past only to fall apart.

The first had Dwayne Johnson starring, John Woo directing the second with Paul W.S. Anderson directing. Warner Bros.picked up the rights to the property when it bought many of the bankrupt assets in a fire-sale last Summer from Midway

Michael Brandt, Derek Haas, Zak Penn and Stuart Beattie have already taken a crack at the script. Now it's Chad St. John's turn

Dan Lin and Roy Lee will produce.
