When the socialite decides not to claim Joanna at the hospital, Dean (Kurt Russell) a carpenter and single father of four whom Joanna stiffed on a job.--decides to get even with Joanna and claims she's his wife. The pair soon develop a genuine attraction despite the false circumstances that brought them together.
