Gerard Butler, Colin Farrell and Matthew Fox are the top contenders for the lead in Consent to Kill says Deadline Hollywood.
The film is based on the sixth novel in Vince Flynn 's ten-book and growing series which follows undercover Fed counter-terrorism agent Mitch Rapp.
Consent', has Rapp as the target of several assassins seeking to collect a $20 million bounty by a Saudi billionaire out for revenge for his son's apparent death at Rapp's hands. With Rapp’s wife and unborn child in danger and Government bureaucrats doing him more harm than good.
Butler is the front-runner, Fox "has pursued the role aggressively", while Farrell is the personal choice of studio suit Amy Baer.
Jonathan Lemkin adapted the script and Antoine Fuqua ("Training Day) will call action
Filming is set to begin in the Summer.
