Warner Bros. head honcho Alan F. Horn told the Showest crowd that a 5th film in Final Destination film series via Coming Soon is on the way.
Horn says the reason for going ahead with another one is "we can’t resist."
Horn wouldn't reveal story details and it wasn't known what filmmakers are involved at this point, or if there is a script ready or being written.
Last year's The Final Destination, which starred Bobby Campo, Shantel VanSanten, Nick Zano, Haley Webb,and Krista Allen, took in $66 million at the domestic box office and over $180 million worldwide, from just a $43 million budget.
TFD was filmed in 3-D and it wasn't clear if this new film would use the popular format or not.
I think it's safe to assume that FD 5 will go 3-D--the last pic took on the updated version of Halloween 2 at the box office and beat it...And guess what? TFD was a decent pic and way better than H2
