Tom Hardy is replacing Michael Fassbender in the role of Ricky Tarr in the new film adaptation of John le Carré's classic Cold War book "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" reports The Daily Mail.
Set in the mid-70's during the height of the Cold War, following agent George Smiley (Gary Oldman) who must find the identity of a Soviet mole within 'The Circus', the highest echelons of the S.I.S. (MI6).
Tarr helps Smiley put the pieces of his investigation together.
Fassbender's commitment to "X-Men: First Class is the reason for the casting change
Ciaran Hinds, Jared Harris, Colin Firth, David Thewlis and Benedict Cumberbatch also star.
Peter Morgan adapted the script.
