Man Of Steel Rumblings...

According to a recent posting on Latino Review Kryptonian Faora is the secondary baddie in Man of Steel alongside Michael Shannon's General Zod

In the comics Faora was a Kryptonian serial killer who targeted only men and was sentenced to the

Phantom Zone for three centuries where she survived the destruction of Krypton. She also knew a special  form of martial arts that made her dangerous to face in hand-to-hand combat.

The character is better known for her more recent incarnations in the comics and in other media. General Zod's right-hand woman Ursa (Sarah Douglas) in Richard Donner’s Superman and both versions of "Superman II" was inspired by Faora. In TV's "Smallville" she is seen as the wife of Zod.

The site adds that Jor-El (with Daniel Day-Lewis being mentioned to play him) and his wife Lara will be in the movie while Krypton will not be a crystal planet but look something more like the planet Coruscant  in the Star Wars.Saga

This is all rumor for now but LR has been pretty on point in its reporting for MOS throughout this process.

Meanwhile, Diane Lane who plays Ma Kent in the Zack Snyder film tells E! Online that the story will "cover the entire range of years, from infancy on" of Kal-El/Clark Kent (Henry Cavill)

Amy Adams and Kevin Costner also star.

David S. Goyer is writing the screenplay based on a story he concocted with Christopher Nolan

Charles Roven, Emma Thomas Deborah Snyder, and Nolan will be producers on the film

Production will start in Vancouver in May for release next year.

In somewhat related news there was a New Setback for Warner Bros. in 'Superman' Litigation...
