Fringe star Joshua Jackson is in talks to star in Stephen Frears-directed comedy-drama "Lay The Favorite" reports Variety.
Based on Beth Raymer bestselling memoir, the story charts her rise from lowly Vegas cocktail waitress to one of the top sports gambling bookmakers.
Rebecca Hall has been cast in the lead role.Catherine Zeta-Jones will play the wife of Raymer's mentor, a cantankerous ex–New York bookmaker (Bruce Willis). Justin Timberlake is set to portray a Long Island bookie Josh's role is not yet known.
