Universal Pictures is thinking about the notion of shooting the next two "Fast and the Furious films" back-to-back in Europe throughout 2012 says Twitchfilm.
The site also adds that they have begun early talks with Jason Statham to possibly join one or both of the films which Justin Lin would likely direct. As already hinted in Fast Five some of the action would take place in Berlin.
Lin left some other high-profile upcoming pics recently including Terminator 5 and the Highlander reboot due to his commitment to The Fast and the Furious 6 which is already on target for a May 24th 2013 release.
A 2-film production schedule would most likely not affect that date and would mean #7 would probably hit the following May.
The film series is a major cash cow for Uni, the recent "Fast Five" generating over $615 million worldwide from a relatively cost-effective $125 million production budget.
