Fox has announced a July 26th 2013 release date for the copic book sequel pic "The Wolverine" says Heat Vision. It's only competition for that weekend thus far is the Dirty Dancing remake.
The script initially written by Christopher McQuarrie--then reworked by Mark Bomback--is set mostly in Japan and based on the great mini-series by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont. The sequel will find our hero (Hugh Jackman) going toe to toe with the Silver Samurai
With the new date marked on the calendar, the studio is reportedly making the pic a priority.
James Mangold will direct the pic which should begin shooting as soon as Jackman finishes Tom Hooper's (The King's Speech) adaptation of "Les Misérables".
