Ridley Scott Eyes Fassbender As The Councelor

Ridley Scott is now confirmed to direct Pulitzer Prize-winning author Cormac McCarthy's first spec original drama "The Counselor" says Deadline...And he wants Michael Fassbender who worked with him on the upcomming sci-fi saga "Prometheus" to join him.

The story follows a respected lawyer who thinks he can dip a toe into the drug business without getting pulled in, a decision he tries his best to survive.

A formal offer hasn’t been made, but it's looking likely that Fassbender would play the lawyer.

Nick Wechsler, Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz will produce.

Scott is hoping for a May 1st start of production for the film and is already talking with a number of high-profile actors for supporting roles
