Latino Review claims Jason Momoa has won the role of Drax The Destroyer in James Gunn's Marvel superhero movie "Guardians Of The Galaxy"
The Guardians of the Galaxy comic book follows a US pilot who ends up in space during a universal conflict, then is forced to go on the run with a band of futuristic alien ex-cons.
Momoa flew out to London to screen test on Wednesday and it apparently went so well that Marvel offered him the part and his reps are now in talks He beat out others such as Isaiah Mustafa, Dave Bautista, and Brian Patrick Wade for the part.
THR's Borys Kit later confirmed on Twitter that Momoa did test for the role, but there is NO offer at this time.
Drax the Destroyer was born as the human Arthur Douglas, whose family was attacked and murdered by the villainous Thanos. Arthur's spirit was then placed into a powerful new body by Kronos, which resulted in Drax the Destroyer's creation. The superhero's powers include incredible strength and the ability to emit energy blasts from his hands.

Screenwriter Chris McCoy was recently hired to rewrite the Nicole Perlman’s original script.
Production starts this Summer in London The film arrives August 1, 2014.
