Sandy Will Menace "Minions"

Sandra Bullock will provide the voice for the lead villain voice in the "Despicable Me" spin-off flick "Minions" says Deadline.

In the film, we find out that the adorable yellow henchmen have existed since the beginning of time, in service of history’s most ambitiously evil villains. Through their lovable ineptitude, they have thwarted and ultimately killed them all.

The story is set in the 1960s as the now depressed collective seek a new master at a villain convention.  They soon compete for the right to be henchmen to Scarlet Overkill (Bullock) who is described as a "stylish bad-ass super-villain bent on world domination".

Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda are directing from a screenplay by Brian Lynch.

Christopher Meledandri and Janet Healy will produce through their Illumination Entertainment company. Executive producer Chris Renaud and Coffin will provide the voices for the Minions.

The CG-animated comedy currently has a December 19th 2014 release date.
