The fim has an R-rated script that Brendan O'Brien and Andrew Cohen wrote, that follows a rivalry between a member of an alpha male-filled college fraternity (Zac Efron) and a local family man (Seth Rogen) who lives right nearby.
Dave Franco plays Efron's best friend and frat vice president. No word just yet on the characters that both Christopher Mintz-Plasse or Barinholtz will play
Rose Byrne will play Rogen's wife.
Nicholas Stoller will call action on the pic
Rogen and his pal Evan Goldberg are producing the pic while James Weaver, Cohen and O'Brien are exec producing.
Townies is scheduled to begin filming this Spring.
