Academy Sets Dates For OSCARS In 2014 & 2015

With Super Bowl XLVIII happening on February 2nd in 2014, and the Winter Olympic Games locked into the other three Sundays in February, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that next year's OSCARS ceremony will take place on March 2, 2014.

The Academy also announced, the 87th Academy Awards in 2015 will move back to the last Sunday in February, which will take place on Feb. 22, 2015. The choice of dates for the next two Oscar awards effectively ends any speculation that the Oscars would move to an earlier date on the Hollywood awards calendar.

The 86th and 87th Academy Awards will once again be held at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland and broadcast live by ABC.
