Oscar Isaac and Domhnall
Gleeson are due to star in the indie robot thriller "Ex Machina"
says The Wrap.
The story follows a billionaire programmer (Isaac) who handpicks a young employee (Gleeson) to spend a week at his remote estate and participate in a test involving his latest invention – an artificially intelligent female robot.
Both Felicity Jones and Alicia Vikander are said to be up for the female
lead.
"Dredd" reboot writer Alex Garland will make his film directorial debut here using his screenplay.
Eli Bush, Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich and Scott Rudin will produce the film.
Production hopes to begin by early Fall.
Despite the name similarity, this is NOT connected to the comic from Brian K. Vaughan which is itself being adapted for the big screen
