McIntyre Befriemds "Hercules 3D"

Heat Vision reports that just wrapped  "Spartacus: War Of The Damned" cable series star Liam McIntyre has joined director Renny Harlin's epic "Hercules 3D".

 

The story deals with a romance between the son of Zeus and the mortal princess of Crete, who was promised to his older brother despite her love for Hercules (Kellan Lutz).

McIntyre's character is a trusted friend of Kellan Lutz's Hercules.

Sean Hood, Harlin and Giulio Steve wrote the script.

Les Weldon and Danny Lerner are producing.

Production kicks off mid-May in Bulgaria.

The hope is to get the film in theaters by March 2014, ahead of Brett Ratner's rival pic called "Hercules: The Thracian Wars". That film stars Dwayne Johnson which is set for an August 8th 2014 release, and is expected to have more of a fantasy tone.
