Lake Bell ("Boston
Legal," "No Strings Attached") has signed on
to join the baseball drama biopic "Million Dollar Arm" says The Playlist.
The film is based on the true story of how sports agent J.B. Bernstein (Jon Hamm) and his partner Aash Shah ("The Daily Show" regular Aasif Mandvi) discovered professional pitchers Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel through a reality show he staged in India using cricket players.
Alan Arkin will play a retired baseball scout. "Life of Pi" star Suraj Sharma co stars. Bell's role is not yet known.
Tom McCarthy ("Win Win") wrote the script from which Craig Gillespie's going to call action.
Mark Ciardi, Gordon Gray, Joe Roth and Palak Patel will produce the film.
Shooting begins next month in Mumbai and Atlanta.
