The film sees Mikkelsen star as a peaceful settler in 1870s America who is out for revenge after the murder of his family, and is left to cleanse the town from a gang while struggling against a corrupt and cowardly community.

Director Kristian Levring is calling action using a script he wrote with Anders Thomas Jensen.
Production is underway in South Africa.
