De Niro & Ramirez Have "Hands Of Stone"

Robert De Niro and Edgar Ramirez have signed on to star in Jonathan Jakubowicz's boxing biopic drama "Hands Of Stone" says Deadline.

Set during boxing’s Golden Era, Ramirez will play Panamanian champ Roberto Durán. De Niro will play his trainer Ray Arcel in a story that focuses on how each man changed the life of the other, and on the incredible bouts he had with Sugar Ray Leonard-culminating in the famed fight where Duran quit in the ring crying out 'No Mas'.

Jay Weisleder and Jakubowicz will produce the film

Production begins in September in Panama.
