Efron Turns "Narc" To Stay Outta Jail

Deadline reports that Zac Efron will star in true life inspired Narc. The film is being described as Donnie Brasco like set in college.


In the film, Efron will play a an extremely promising student and athlete who courts serious trouble when he is caught with a bunch of cocaine that he was going to sell at a party. Making a deal with the cops, the student agrees to be an undercover informant.

Newcomer Garrett Meyer is writing the script while Julie Yorn and Rick Yorn will produce the crime drama,

Efron’s manager Doug Baker will executive produce.

The life rights to the unnamed individual have been acquired by Fox, and the studio will oversee production
