Gilliam posted via Facebook: "Off at dawn tomorrow to pretend to be an actor in the new Wachowski’s film, Jupiter Ascending. It’s a small but vital part (or so I’m told)… I can’t wait to meet my hairdresser."
The plot is said to involve higher forms of life on other planets watching us. These beings have some human and animal DNA in them.
Mila Kunis will play a Russian immigrant and toilet cleaner who unknowingly carries "the same perfect genetic makeup as the Queen of the Universe and is therefore a threat to her otherwise immortal rule." A bounty hunter (Channing Tatum) is dispatched to kill her, but they fall in love.
Sean Bean will play a roguish character named Stinger. Eddie Redmayne Tuppence Middleton Aussie actor Kick Gurry and Douglas Booth also star. South Korean actress Doona Bae's role is said to be "very small" in the pic No details have emerged on whom Redmayne, Booth, and Middleton will play. Middleton and Bean worked before on Cleanskin with the Wachowskis
The Wachowski's will write, direct and produce the film
Shooting is underway in London ahead of a release on July 25, 2014.
