The Dinobots In "Transformers 4"?

The folks over at Joblo claim that the Dinobots from the 1984–1987 animated series might be part of "Transformers 4".


The post states that one of the main villains in the film will be Lockdown, a character who possesses a ship full of decommissioned Transformers including the Dinobots. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will reportedly then ride the Dinobots Grimlock and a Pterandon into battle in Hong Kong. Galvatron, and the 'Hound' are also said to make their debut in the film.

The new film folows a high school student, and daughter (Nicola Peltz) of Mark Wahlberg's character, and her racecar driver boyfriend--Jack Reynor--who is expected to be signed for three-picture deal. Josh Duhamel recently said that they are trying to ensure an appearance for his military hero character, Major Lennox in the film. Stanley Tucci has joined the cast alomg with a mysterious young actor who hasn't been identified yet. former Frasier star Kelsey Grammer has been cast as the human bad guy---counter intelligence officer Harold Attinger. British actress Sophia Myles ("Moonlight," "Thunderbirds") will play a scientist in the film. "Resident Evil: Retribution" co-star Li Bingbing also has a role.

Director Michael Bay has confirmed that the next film is set four years after the events in Chicago as seen in the third film--Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Ehren Kruger is writing the script for the fourth film which hits theaters on June 27th, 2014

Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Ian Bryce, Tom DeSanto and Don Murphy are producing.

Production begins next month in Michigan and Chicago and then shifts to China in October.
