Two Mothers Becomes Adore

Exclusive Media announced that the steamy Aussie drama "Two Mothers" has scored a new title - "Adore" says Deadline.

An adaptation of the 2003 novel by award-winning author Doris Lessing, the story follows two childhood friends and neighbors (Naomi Watts, Robin Wright) who each fall in love with the other’s teenage son (James Frecheville, Xavier Samuel). While they are all aware that the relationships will not work and are doomed, they enjoy them all the same.

Ben Mendelsohn, Sophie Lowe, Jessica Tovey and Gary Sweet also star.

French director Anne Fontaine ("Coco Before Chanel") helms the film from an adapted script by Christopher Hampton ("Atonement").

Premiering at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year to mixed reviews, the film is being given a limited theatrical and VOD release in the United States on September 6th.
