The film will tell "the dramatic tale of a young man's struggle with mental illness, love and a deep-rooted family secret".
Miguel Sapochnik (Repo Men) will direct the film using a script is written by Jon Johnston.

Hutcherson is currently filming the crime drama Paradise Lost with Benicio Del Toro.
