Evans To Take Over Lead In "The Ten O'Clock People"?

Chris Evans is said to be circling the film adaptation of author Stephen King's short story "The Ten O'Clock People" says Deadline.

The story centers on a man (Evans) who, when attempting to kick his smoking habit, has his eyes opened to a frightening reality in which many people in authority are monsters.

Justin Long was previously attached, but had to vacate the film due to scheduling conflicts

Rachel Nichols was in talks to play a woman who can also see this horrible reality.

Tom Holland ("Child's Play," the original "Fright Night") wrote the adapted script and will direct

The tale was first published in the 1993 as part of the anthology "Nightmares And Dreamscapes". Five stories from the collection made up a basic cable anthology mini-series of the same name in 2006.

Pascal Borno, Scott Karol, E.J. Meyers, Robin Reitman and Nathaniel Kramer will produce.

This one has been om the back burner for a while but now production aims to begin this Fall in Atlanta.
