Liotta And Emond Have "Talent"

Ray Liotta and Linda Emond have joined the cast of the crime thriller "Violent Talent" according to Deadline.

The film takes place in present day Chicago, and follows Garrett Hedlund as Eamon, a man who, along side his friends Angel (Toby Kebbell) and Quan (Riz Ahmed) plans to make a name for himself in the criminal underworld.

Liotta and Emond will play the parents of Hedlund's character.  .

Margot Robbie also stars.

Screenwriter Matthew Michael Carnahan is making his directorial debut here.

Shooting begins early next year in Chicago.

Carnahan says his inspiration for the film is the young Vito Corleone scenes in "The Godfather: Part II,in order to "basically to explore the genesis and building of a criminal empire."
