Now apparently out as the lead in The First Avenger: Captain America...The Office star John Krasinski is in negotiations to join Ginnifer Goodwin in the romantic comedy directed by Luke Greenfield Something Borrowed, says The Hollywood Reporter. Based on Emily Giffin's 2005 debut novel Goodwin plays a New York attorney who has just entered her 30's and becomes involved with her best friend's fiance.
Krasinski would play her friend and confidant.
The film rights to "Something Blue", the second book in the series has been optioned.
While Krasinski's character is only a supporting role in the first film he is the male lead in the second so the deal includes both pictures.
Cameras roll on Borrowed in the Spring.
Hilary Swank, Aaron Lubin, Pamela Schein Murphy, Molly Smith, Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson are producing the film
