Zemeckis Already Returning with “Gnomes”

Academy Award winner Robert Zemeckis hasn’t had it easy lately First his Yellow Submarine remake got nixed. And then Mars Needs Moms, a film produced under his company Imagemovers, bombed with the critics and with audiences, making little of its hefty budget back.

Now Zemeckis looks to return with How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack with Imagemovers; Sony Pictures Animation is mulling over picking up this production. Heat Vision relays that the book “is described as a ‘comprehensive survival guide that will help you prevent, prepare for and ward off an imminent home invasion by the common garden gnome. Once thought of as harmless yard decorations, evidence is mounting that these smiling lawn statues are poised and ready to wreck havoc.’”

Sounds like it could be interesting. Though Zemeckis has annoyed me quite a bit with his motion-capture obsessions, this film might actually work.

How do you feel about How to Survive a Garden Gnome?
