The Grandmothers Are At Work

Ben Mendelsohn, Sophie Lowe, Jessica Tovey and Gary Sweet have joined the cast of "The Grandmothers" says iF Magazine.

An adaptation of the 2003 novel by award-winning author Doris Lessing, the story follows two childhood friends and neighbors (Naomi Watts, Robin Wright) who each fall in love with the other’s teenage son (James Frecheville, Xavier Samuel), much to the disgust of the boys’ wives.

French director Anne Fontaine ("Coco Before Chanel") helms the film from an adapted script by Christopher Hampton ("Atonement").

Production kicked off in Australia on Sunday.
