The second in a planned trilogy, the new film finds Machete (Danny Trejo) recruited by the U.S. Government to battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who have hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space.
Kyle Ward wrote the script with many of the original surviving cast members expected to return,
Alexander Rodnyansky will produce. Production is tentatively scheduled to begin in April.
