Maleficent Gets Jolie Next

Making the rounds at Berlinale to promote "In the Land of Blood and Honey", actress Angelina Jolie confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. that "Maleficent" is going to be her next film.

"I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this [Honey]. The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie" .

Written by Linda Woolverton the film takes "Sleeping Beauty" and switches the focus to the evil Queen of the story.

The long in the pipeline film has gotten a needed boost in recent weeks with "Avatar" and "Alice in Wonderland" production designer Robert Stromberg on board to direct.

Jolie was recently linked to an untitled big budget dramatic thriller to be written and directed by Luc Besson which was to begin production in April but that appears to be no longer the case
