The screenplay comes from first-timers Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt and centers on an ex-Secret Service agent (Gerard Butler) who must foil a terrorist attack on The White House.
Butler Alan Siegel and Mark Gill will produce.
The project is being rushed into production, and could begin as early as June, in order to beat a rival pic with a similar premise - "White House Down" with Roland Emmerich is in talks to direct that film.
