Casting is currently underway with mostly relative unknowns, being tested for the four mo-cap turtle roles.
Jonathan Liebesman is directing from a script by Kevin Eastman, Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec.
Laird has also expressed disappointment over the choice of director Liebesman.
Brad Fuller Andrew Form, Galen Walker and Scott Mednick would co-produce with Michael Bay
The pic was delayed over script issues--originally slated for release in December 2013 it is now targeting a May 2014 release.
