del Toro says a that he has completed an overall outline and that a writer has been hired who will work with him to turn that outline into a script. The writer will be announced soon.
The team itself will consist of John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Etrigan the Demon, Deadman, The Spectre and Zatanna.
The story will reportedly deal with Jason Blood's history with Merlin and King Arthur's knights, but bring the threat to present day.
The origin elements of the characters will be revealed over time instead of right at the start. This means Swamp Thing is already living a peaceful life, and Deadman is still searching for his killer.
Del Toro's July 12th film "Pacific Rim" screened a new trailer at the event that got raves from many critics online
