Bratt Replaces Pacino In "Despicable" Sequel (Darn!)

Benjamin Bratt will replace Al Pacino as the voice of the villain Eduardo El Macho in"Despicable Me 2" says Variety. Pacino left the project over creative differences.

Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud will direct the sequel from a script by Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul.

Steve Carell will return to voice Gru, with Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove and Julie Andrews will reprise their roles from Despicable Me. Steve Coogan also stars

It's reported rhat there will not be a problem re-recording the character's lines with Bratt’s voice and still make the pic's July 2nd release.
