Radcliffe Gets "Tokyo Vice" Beat

Deadline reports that Daniel Radcliffe has landed the lead in the crime thriller Tokyo Vice.


The actor will portray Jake Adelstein, an American reporter working for the Tokyo newspaper Yomiuri Shinbun on the crime beat. The story tells how his non-stop investigation of Yakuza crime lord Tadamasa Goto came at a high personal cost, including threats against his life.

Anthony Mandler is directing from an adapted screenplay by Jt Rogers and Adelstein from the memior

John Lesher and Adam Kassan are producing the film.

Production will begin in early 2014.
